Seattle BizJam 08 - The Second Day

Bobdunn_publisher
BizJam rocks on. It's day number two and I am tuning into the blog, as Judy is attending some of the presentations.

Yesterday I spent my day immersed in Social Media! What an experience. The speakers opened the eyes of indie business owners throughout the day of how Social Media can help the small business. It's a great marketing avenue that is often untouched.

A few thoughts...

Dive into the Social Media sites out there. Biznik, Flickr, YouTube and so many others. Find out how other businesses are utilizing these sites to expand their brand awareness and reaching even more customers.

Take the time to check out all the great tools that Google has to offer -- free! There's Google Docs, Google Analytics, and Webmaster Tools. Go through the tutorials and take full advantage of them.

Blog. Build a blog. Comment on other blogs in your industry. Create link love. The more inbound links you get to you, that much better for the search engines.

Okay, I could go on and on. I'm sure that after BizJam I will be sharing much more info with you.

And if I can grab a few other presenters and attendees, we'll get them to share their experience as well

Bob,

It's so great that you and Judy are blogging as we "jam" at BizJam! I'm going to eagerly await the arrival of the "Bob and Judy show." Thanks for keeping everyone who couldn't be here informed and up to date. Y'all, if you're not here, you're missing out! Just the networking taking places in the hallways is worth the entrance fee for the conference. I'm enjoying myself and it's well worth the two days off work (and the evenings I'll be putting in to catch up after!).

Cheers from BizJam,

Valerie

Bizjam 08! What a fantastic way to learn, meet and have some social fun. Not only are there terrific seminars full of information to help individual businesses grow, the people are everywhere. Interesting how different everyone is and yet all kindred spirits!!!!!

I am already looking forward to next years event!

BizJam has been a great experience to connect with so many budding and growing small businesses. Talking to everyone over the past 2 days has been inspiring and am happy that we supported and were a part of BizJam this year.

Thanks to everyone who posted a comment.

Valerie, it wouldn't have been as successful without your awesome efforts. And you, too, Amanda.

Alyssa, a special thanks to entellium for stepping up to be a sponsor.

See you all at BizJam '09!

I think that this only goes to show that people love commiserate and share. Isn't there a song whose lyric say: "... people who love people are the luckiest people ..."? And that is so true.
